Title: Other World

Project: (AI) AudioVisual Performance

Place: The Barbican, London

Team +: Artrendex, LC Orchestra, Universal Assembly, Ben Heim

Role: Creative Consultant + Team Building

I had the great pleasure in working with an interdiscplinary group, that I helped put together. The london Contemporary Orchestra, along with The Universal Assembly Unit, were looking to develop an audiovisual experience using real-time sound data. We began considering different forms of neural net systems, as I helped connect and integrate Artrendex, an Artifial Intellegince company I’ve been working closely with. We worked together and experimented with various techniques in using (AI) to take the live score of the orchestra and autonomously create kinetic imagery in real-time based off of Universal Assembly’s visualization concept. It took several months to train Artrendex’s algorithm to construct organic imagery in response to the music in a seamless manner.
